Caregiver of the Month April 2018
Every baseball team that wins the World Series has a superstar “utility” player. A utility player is one who can play several positions (infield, outfield, even catcher) and is also a good batter. These players are rare. They must be very athletic and flexible, while contributing an excellent winning attitude regardless of their role. You can see how valuable that kind of teammate is, right?
Our “Superstar Utility Player” is Farah-Anne Nembhard, and we are happy to announce that she is our April Caregiver of the Month!
Here is how Farah-Anne has earned this award:
- She is highly skilled in all facets of home care, and also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. For the complicated physical and mental health issues we encounter with our clients, this is an invaluable combination of skills.
- Her skill sets make her remarkably flexible in terms working with higher needs clients, we never have to worry about her “fit”.
- She does not mind driving far to her clients (a big issue with high cost of gasoline).
- She has excellent documentation skills.
- She will rearrange her personal schedule to accommodate a last-minute request to engage with a new client. She is so unselfish!
- She never complains about…ANYTHING!
- She has a winning attitude.
- She covers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and will do awake overnights and sleeping overnights. That is a truly rare breed!
If there was such a thing as the World Series of Home Care, Gauthier Family Home Care would win it this year…and the World Series MVP (Most Valuable Player) would be Farah-Anne! Please join me in shouting out a big THANK YOU TO FARAH-ANNE, we love that she shares our enthusiasm and professional dedication to deliver the very best care to our senior community in west Michigan. We are only as good as our caregivers who deliver the care, and she make us GREAT!
