Caregiver of the Month – April, 2019
Please join me in congratulating Jason Homminga as we honor him as our April Caregiver of the Month!
Jason has been with GFHC for nearly 3.5 years, off and on. During those 3 and a half years Jason had to leave us for a short time, but came back to us as soon as he was able and we couldn’t have been happier! We feel at our core that it says a multitude about a Caregiver when you can leave an employer on good terms and return later, on even better terms! We are thrilled to have him as a vital part of the team and our clients seem to agree! Jason has proven to be one of our most trusted caregivers in so many ways!
Jason is a Scheduler’s dream – he is willing to rearrange his own personal obligations if it means he can come to the rescue of a client! He has changed his own schedule to help out with last minute shifts, which we think is pretty amazing. He has also driven in some pretty crazy weather this winter, as you can imagine, to maintain his dependability, even when it might prove to be dangerous for him, and literally stated it was because he knew it could mean the difference between our clients getting their daily, most basic needs met or them going without. His heart is SO BIG and he continues to show us this time after time! We think Jason is the perfect example of what it means to be a true HERO in this business!
Jason has a passion for his clients. He builds good rapport with them and makes them feel comfortable, no doubt because of his calm and collective nature. He has been with clients who have higher needs physically and mentally, and is able to rise to the occasion each and every time. His sweet, caring nature shines through on a consistent basis and keeps the atmosphere calm.
If a concern ever arises with one of his clients, Jason always contacts the office immediately. The communication he keeps with the office is incredible. It makes our services run smoothly, which is exactly what our families want. It’s why they hired us – to take good care of their loved ones and notify them when there’s a change! His communication is beyond amazing and quite frankly, makes us look good!
We can’t say enough about Jason and his contribution to our team! He is dedicated to providing excellent service to the people our clients have entrusted us with and we honor him here – and say THANK YOU, JASON, FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THIS COMMUNITY!
