Caregiver of the Month – November 2018

Please help me to congratulate Amy Sullivan as we honor her as our November Caregiver of the Month!  We had the pleasure of presenting her this award at our November Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon, so Amy was recognized in front of 50 of her peers.  When we can share this award in front of so many other caregiving professionals, I think it is even more impactful.

Caregiver of the Month: Amy Sullivan

Caregiver of the Month: Amy Sullivan

Amy has been with GFHC for nearly two years.  During those two years she has become one of a handful of “go to” caregivers that Jane and Kristina (our world-class schedulers) have come to rely on to bail them out of last-minute call offs, emergency shifts, and the countless other events that cause chaos as we engage with more and more clients who rely on our services.  As Jane and Kristina say once a week, “if we only had twenty more Amy’s, we’d be home free”!

So when our schedulers come across a caregiver who is willing to drop whatever he or she is doing to help out in an emergency, that caregiver is elevated to “ROCK STAR” status in our office.  Amy makes Paul McCartney look like a has been!!  😊

Amy lives north of Grand Rapids but will take an emergency shift in Middleville if that is what we need.  She will work days and overnights if necessary (so rare, I don’t know how she does that!).

And here is the magic that makes her our choice for Caregiver of the Month.  Every single client that she has worked with has liked her so much, they ALL want her to return!  How many folks in this world are so well rounded that they possess the considerable skill sets to do the physical lifting, transferring and personal care involved in home care, AND have the innate personality to please every soul he / she works with?  That multi-talented group of people occupy rarified air, and Amy is among the best of the best.

From Jane and Kristina, THANK YOU AMY!  And more importantly, for helping us accomplish our mission to care for the wonderful families we are so honored to work with, I say THANK YOU AMY!

Dan
