Say Hi to Kristina Smith!
As our client census and hours have steadily increased over the last year we decided to bring someone on staff to back up Jane with scheduling and assist other administrative functions in our office. Our biggest concern was chemistry. As you know, our business can be a little stressful (understatement!) since we operate 24/7 and we make promises to all our clients and their families that we will take exceptional care of them. So, we needed a proven professional and a hard worker who would be very selfless, compassionate and dedicated like April, Tracy and Jane are.
And then one day Tracy said her friend Kristina just might be looking for a new job, YAY!!
Since Tracy grew up with Kristina in Muskegon, we were confident she was going to be a good fit. And we knew she was a hard worker, because she worked at WESCO convenient stores in the Muskegon area for the last 12 years. She did it all there, helped manage staff, covered shifts, scheduled personnel, baked donuts in the deli, and managed through many crazy experiences that you only run into doing the graveyard shift at a convenience store! We knew she understood customer service and we knew she could be fast on her feet when circumstances dictated that need.
Jane has taken Kristina under her wing for the last six months and Kristina has turned into a Rock Star. She has been trained to be a caregiver and is working with some very challenging clients. And she is doing great work learning the hardest job in the world, scheduling! We love her fearless attitude and willingness to learn. And, she is a great team player; when there is an emergency shift to cover, she simply digs in and does not quit till a solution is found.
Kristina is engaged to Adam and they will be married on October 13th this coming fall. I hope Adam has a very good idea of how much of a dynamo Kristina is. If not, he will find out soon enough exactly who will be wearing the pants in their house!!
