Caregiver of the Month February 2024: Tamela Mecum

Tamela has been with Gauthier Family Home Care for 11 years. During this time, she has shown us time and time again what an incredible addition to this team she really is. Tamela has been amazing, to say the least, with all of her clients. Tamela’s clients love her because she is so personable with them. Her clients think of her like family, which is what they are looking for.

Tamela is great at communicating, which is a scheduler’s dream. She always lets us know if she has any concerns or if she has questions. Tamela will pick up shifts outside of her normal hours as much as possible to help out if she can. Tamela is also fantastic with attendance! If anything personal comes up, she always lets us know in advance so that we can find someone else to cover for her.

Another quality that Tamela has is that her clients find her very helpful. She knows just the right things to say to them to help them feel comfortable, and happy with her care. Tamela makes sure that her clients have exactly what they need and they continue to rave about how fantastic she is.

For all of the reasons listed here, we want to honor Tamela as our February Caregiver of the Month. A very big thank you to Tamela for being such a great part of this community here at Gauthier. We feel very honored to work alongside Tamela.
